My name is Amanda Ahlcrona. My husband and I have been living in Southeastern Connecticut for the past fourteen years and are happy to raise two children here.
I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and then went back and got my graduate degree in Educational Psychology. I have been a practicing School Counselor for the past 9 years and then completed the requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
We can all benefit from therapy at some point in our lives, yet the prospect of it can feel overwhelming. I strive to provide a therapeutic environment that is non-judgmental, safe, supportive, and healing. I am person-centered, which means that you will drive the treatment goals, and we will work together to help you reach those goals.
Whether your concerns are related to anxiety, depression, family, or other life stressors, I welcome the opportunity to help you navigate them and take steps to bring about change. I understand choosing a therapist can be a difficult decision. I welcome you to reach out and see if we are a good fit.
